The Steelers offense had a tough start in the first half. They could not move the ball against Buffalo’s defense. The offense in the second half got it in gear. Ben Roethlisberger was throwing well and it was 188 yards, plus a touchdown to Dionate Johnson. Najee Harris had a tough game in his NFL debut rushing for 45 yards. The offensive line had a slow start with the running game, and gave up two sacks. Juju Smith Schuster had a good second half with 4 catches for 52 yards.
The defense was great the whole game, with T.J Watt getting two sacks. They shut down the Bills’ offense in the second half. Special Teams had a mixed bag in the game. They gave up a 76-yard return on the opening kickoff. Chris Boswell made 3 field goals and 2 extra points. Percy Harvin III had a tough game punting the ball. Ulysees Gilbert III returned a blocked punt for a touchdown.
The offensive line has to do a better job with running the ball. Najee Harris had to adjust running against NFL defenses. Percy Harvin III has to be more consistent punting the ball and pin the other team deep in their end of the field. The Steelers came away with a 23 to 13 win over the Buffalo Bills. Next Sunday, is the Heinz Field opener against the Las Vegas Raiders with a kickoff of 1:00 p.m.
