The SheBelieves Cup Final against Canada gave the United States a challenge. The match was a typical U.S. VS Canada physical match that went down to the wire. Canada got the only goal of the first half when Adriana Leon took a pass and scored in the 40th minute to give them a 1–0 lead.

It took the United States to the 50th minute when Sophia Smith scored off the top of the box. Smith would score off a Trinty Rodman’s pass in the 68th minute to give the United States a 2–1 lead. Leon would score on a penalty kick for Canada in the 86th minute to tie the match at 2. The foul on replay was a soft one. The game would go immediately to penalty kicks. Canada would take an early lead but Smith, Lindsay Horan, Alyssa Naeher, Abby Dahlkemper, and Emily Fox would score for the United States in a 5 to 4 penalty kick victory. Sophia Smith’s performance would give her the MVP of the tournament. Interim Head Coach Twalia Kilgore in her final match went out a winner. They have four games before the Summer Olympics and Emma Hayes takes over as Head Coach.
