The United States had a strong start against Argentina this evening. Jaedyn Shaw began the scoring in the 10th minute. A brilliant pass from Lindsey Horan set up the goal. Rose Lavelle would set up Shaw’s second goal of the match in the 17th minute. It was the second straight match that a teenager would get two goals in a match. It was the first time in USWNT history that two different teenagers would get multiple goals in back-to-back matches. Alex Morgan got her goal in the 18th minute off a pass from Casey Krueger. The United States went into halftime with a 3–0 lead.

Lindsey Horan would score on a penalty kick in the 77th minute to make the final score 4–0. Shaw’s performance would earn her the Woman of the Match. The United States has qualified for the knockout stage of the Concacaf W Gold Cup.
