The United States had to win or tie to get the SheBelieves Cup. The match against Brazil was a tough one. They had some chances in the first half. Alex Morgan thought she scored a goal but it was called back on an offside call. Morgan would score off a Mallory Swanson pass late in the first half. The United States would lead 1–0 at halftime. The United States would make substitutions in the second half.
Swanson would score in the 63rd minute to give the U.S. a 2–0 lead. Brazil would make a late charge and score in the 90th minute to make the score 2–1. The United States would win the game and the SheBelieves Cup. The U.S.'s next two matches will be against Ireland in April. Those two games against Ireland will be before the World Cup roster is set.
