I talked about Kenny Pickett in the last blog and he could be the starting quarterback in week one. In the second round, they took George Pickens a wide receiver from the University of Georgia. In the third round, they took DeMarvin Leal a defensive lineman from Texas A&M. In the fourth round, they took Calvin Austin III a wide receiver from the University of Memphis. The Steelers had no draft pick in the fifth round. In the sixth round, they took Connor Heyward a tight end/fullback from Michigan State. Connor is the younger brother of Cam who is a defensive captain of the Steelers. The Steelers had two picks in the seventh round. They drafted Mark Robinson, a linebacker from Mississippi. They also got another quarterback in Chris Oladokun from South Dakota State.

They were able to get some of their needs in the draft. They couldn't get a left tackle, running back, outside linebacker, and depth in the secondary. It will take two drafts to get the Steelers to address their needs.
